Originally posted on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Exciting news! The Fairies, Dolls and I are combining our stop motion adventures with crochet, connecting two worlds that have existed separately for years. \ud83d\udc95 In 2016, I started Crochet Buddies, a website, blog, forum, and online community for fellow crocheters to learn, create, share, and shop. \ud83e\uddf6 Crochet Buddies became an anchor over the years ~ a place to connect with others while balancing life and school. (Special thanks to my family for being incredibly supportive from the start! \ud83d\udc96) Then in 2020, the path of creativity changed. I had always been fascinated by stop motion animation, so the Dolls and Fairies joined me on a new adventure. That was how Plum Village Productions began. \ud83c\udfac\ud83e\uddda\ud83c\udffb\u200d\u2640\ufe0f After rediscovering the joy of both crochet and stop motion animation, I\u2019ve decided to bring back the Crochet Buddies community as well. \ud83d\udca1 Here\u2019s what\u2019s been happening behind the scenes: \u2705 I rebuilt the Crochet Buddies website again. \u2705 The online shop is back, with a new option to create a virtual stash of patterns. \u2705 Newsletter has returned. \u2705 Discussion forum is open (and membership is free). \u2705 Patterns and tutorials are compiled, with more coming soon. I\u2019ve worked really hard on the new and improved Crochet Buddies, and I hope you like it! You\u2019ll see familiar faces, including Mimi and the other Nature Fairies. \ud83e\uddda\ud83c\udffb\u200d\u2640\ufe0f It\u2019s been a joy to reread the blog as well (written by a much younger Orchid, haha). The posts are still there if you\u2019d like to read more. \ud83e\udd2d I\u2019m also building Crochet Buddies across social media. Happy May, Dear Friends! Hope you’re having a wonderful season. \ud83d\ude42 I’m excited to share what the Fairies (and Plum) have been up to this spring. When spring arrived, Lady Berrymore said goodbye (for now) to the Winter Fairies. They’re happily on vacation – until Thanksgiving, when they fly back to the North Pole to help Santa and the Elves: Speaking of Lady Berrymore, she’s been rather busy. After lots of spring cleaning, she started learning photography: This Flower Fairy has goals, and she likes to stick to them. \ud83d\ude09 Lady Berrymore was inspired by Fairy Rosalia, who taught Plum photography last spring: In April, the Easter Bunny arrived, excitedly waving her ears and tail: Timkin set the tea party table, and brought the cake: And then it was tea party time in Fairyland!
