Exciting news! The Fairies, Dolls and I are combining our stop motion adventures with crochet, connecting two worlds that have existed separately for years. 💕
In 2016, I started Crochet Buddies, a website, blog, forum, and online community for fellow crocheters to learn, create, share, and shop. 🧶 Crochet Buddies became an anchor over the years ~ a place to connect with others while balancing life and school. (Special thanks to my family for being incredibly supportive from the start! 💖)
Then in 2020, the path of creativity changed. I had always been fascinated by stop motion animation, so the Dolls and Fairies joined me on a new adventure. That was how Plum Village Productions began. 🎬🧚🏻♀️
After rediscovering the joy of both crochet and stop motion animation, I’ve decided to bring back the Crochet Buddies community as well. 💡
Here’s what’s been happening behind the scenes:
✅ I rebuilt the Crochet Buddies website again.
✅ The online shop is back, with a new option to create a virtual stash of patterns.
✅ Newsletter has returned.
✅ Discussion forum is open (and membership is free).
✅ Patterns and tutorials are compiled, with more coming soon.
I’ve worked really hard on the new and improved Crochet Buddies, and I hope you like it! You’ll see familiar faces, including Mimi and the other Nature Fairies. 🧚🏻♀️ It’s been a joy to reread the blog as well (written by a much younger Orchid, haha). The posts are still there if you’d like to read more. 🤭

Meanwhile, adventures continue at Plum Village Productions. 🎬✨ There will be some overlap between CB and PVP (costume design in particular), and the Dolls and Fairies will bridge the gap between these two worlds.
