The Fairies, Dolls and I are combining our stop motion adventures with crochet, connecting two worlds that have existed separately for years. 💕 In 2016, I started Crochet Buddies, a website, blog, forum, and online community for fellow crocheters to learn, create, share, and shop. 🧶 Crochet Buddies became an anchor over the years ~ a place to connect with others while balancing life and school. (Special thanks to my family for being incredibly supportive from the start! 💖) Then in 2020, the path of creativity changed. I had always been fascinated by stop motion animation, so the Dolls and Fairies joined me on a new adventure. That was how Plum Village Productions began. 🎬🧚🏻‍♀️ After rediscovering the joy of both crochet and stop motion animation, I’ve decided to bring back the Crochet Buddies community as well. 💡 Here’s what’s been happening behind the scenes: ✅ I rebuilt the Crochet Buddies website again. ✅ The online shop is back, with a new option to create a virtual stash of patterns. ✅ Newsletter has returned. ✅ Discussion forum is open (and membership is free). ✅ Patterns and tutorials are compiled, with more coming soon. I’ve worked really hard on the new and improved Crochet Buddies, and I hope you like it! You’ll see familiar faces, including Mimi and the other Nature Fairies. 🧚🏻‍♀️ It’s been a joy to reread the blog as well (written by a much younger Orchid, haha). The posts are still there if you’d like to read more. 🤭 I’m also building Crochet Buddies across social media. Happy May, Dear Friends! Hope you’re having a wonderful season. 🙂 I’m excited to share what the Fairies (and Plum) have been up to this spring. When spring arrived, Lady Berrymore said goodbye (for now) to the Winter Fairies. They’re happily on vacation – until Thanksgiving, when they fly back to the North Pole to help Santa and the Elves: Speaking of Lady Berrymore, she’s been rather busy. After lots of spring cleaning, she started learning photography: This Flower Fairy has goals, and she likes to stick to them. 😉 Lady Berrymore was inspired by Fairy Rosalia, who taught Plum photography last spring: In April, the Easter Bunny arrived, excitedly waving her ears and tail: Timkin set the tea party table, and brought the cake: And then it was tea party time in Fairyland! Plum, Bunny, Timkin, the Fairies, and even Gnomettus and Gnomi joined in: Bonus – here’s a little glimpse of last year’s tea party, with Plum and Fairy Rosalia: That’s the latest for spring! 🙂 I can’t wait to share more stop motion adventures as summer approaches! ~ Orchid 💐
