One day after Christmas, Plum decided to explore the Great Outdoors. She had seen Little Orchid and the other dolls venturing outside, and was curious about the world beyond the dollhouse. 💭
Still in her pajamas, Plum put on her new Christmas present ~ a knitted hat that matched her name ~ and tiptoed outside. It was sunny and cold at the same time, and Plum wondered when the flowers would appear again. 🌸
“So this is what winter is like,” thought Plum. It was very quiet and calm, as though everything was fast asleep. 😴
“This hat is very warm,” she said to the Great Outdoors. “But brrrrrr! I think I shall dress even warmer next time. I wonder if Orchid could make a winter coat for me. It’s c-c-c-cold!” ❄️

Plum’s hat is knitted from a pattern by Buttercup Miniatures. I used larger knitting needles and thicker yarn in one solid color for 1:6 scale. A most enjoyable project! 🧶 There’s a pom-pom at the top as well (will share closeups soon). ✨
